Cambium Networks and Motorola Solutions Sign Global Supply Agreement

SCHAUMBURG, ILL, Mar 08, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Cambium Networks, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions for reliable connectivity in any environment, announced today that it has completed a worldwide supply agreement with its former parent company, Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI).

Under terms of the agreement, Motorola Solutions will continue to offer its government customers business-critical network solutions and services utilizing the Cambium Point-to-Point (PTP), Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) and Wireless Manager technology recently divested from the company.

Now part of Cambium Networks, these industry-leading Orthogon and Canopy product portfolios are valued for their proven reliability, ease of deployment, interference immunity, cost-effectiveness and ability to seamlessly integrate and interoperate with other networks. In addition to its core wireless RF bridging capabilities, Cambium provides industry-specific solutions for a variety of industries such as ATEX/HAZLOC for the Petro-Chemical industry and information assurance certifications like FIPS 140-2 and UC-APL for security sensitive applications.

Motorola Solutions believes this agreement will enable the company to continue supplying these world-class wireless access, backhaul and management products as integral parts of its network connectivity solutions. The company's government customers will continue to have the ability to source these powerful and proven technologies directly from Motorola Solutions.

"With the finalization of this agreement, we are pleased to be able to continue our productive working relationship with Motorola Solutions," said Phil Bolt, CEO of Cambium Networks. "At Cambium Networks, we are continuing to supply high reliability, very cost effective solutions that are transparent to our customers who can simply set them up, then forget about them." The divestiture of Cambium Networks from Motorola Solutions was finalized on October 28, 2011.
