On Thursday, May 7 at 5:10 p.m. PDT, Vice President of Business Development Michael Kay will deliver a comprehensive overview of mobile policy control evolution. While drivers for virtualization include increased service agility as well as obvious CAPEX and OPEX savings, virtualized mobile policy control is increasingly driven by the need for service providers to expand the depth of their network visibility to achieve evolved packet core optimization, leveraging RAN and mobile traffic awareness to manage subscriber quality of experience from the handset to the Internet. An early trailblazer and leader in Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Procera serves clients at all stages of the policy control journey from traditional hardware-based solutions to cutting-edge virtualized solutions.

On demonstration throughout the event is an ETSI NFV Proof-of-Concept (PoC) with Openet, Amartus, Red Hat, and Intel featuring PacketLogic/V, Procera's virtualized subscriber experience management platform that recently won 'Best in Show' in the 2014 Fierce Innovation Awards. The PoC will demonstrate how NFV concepts can be applied to OSS/BSS to deliver on the business benefits and improved customer experience that NFV promises, brought by increased system agility, faster time to market, reduced TCO, increased elasticity and greater service availability. PacketLogic/V recently achieved maximum bare metal performance of over 150Gbps on Intel COTS equipment and is currently offered by Dell asa pre-packaged commercially available solution.
