GENBAND's New Advanced Media Software Delivers Unprecedented SBC Scalability and Flexibility to Service Providers and EnterprisesGENBAND™, a leading provider of real time communications software solutions and recently named 2015 CNBC Disruptor 50, today unveiled its Advanced Media Software (AMS (News - Alert)) and Q50 Media Platform, key elements of its Distributed Session Border Controller (D-SBC) solution. The D-SBC is a next generation, software-based solution offering advanced independently scalable signaling and media processing functionality. The Q50 leverages Intel® Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK)-based architecture and GENBAND's (News - Alert) AMS to perform high definition audio and video multimedia processing with industry-leading transcoding scalability. The Q50 is designed to meet the most demanding next generation IP communications needs of both fixed and mobile service providers, as well as large enterprises.
