Stream Technologies and Link Labs to Deliver Commercial Carrier Grade LoRa Low Power Wide Area Networks for the Internet of Things

Stream Technologies (News - Alert), a global leader in connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things, (IOT) today announced a partnership with Link Labs, a leading industry innovator in LoRa Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN) for the IoT.

By integrating with the Stream IoT-X™ LoRaWAN-enabled platform, Link Labs will be a world leader in providing their Network Operators and Enterprise clients the ability to monitor, manage and monetize all of their LoRa connected devices. This allows visibility and control beyond the gateway to the sensor and enables commercialization of both private and public network deployments.

The IoT-X environment can remotely manage any device regardless of physical connection, providing a single, unified view of every relevant connection, whether it be satellite, cellular, Wi-Fi, short-range or LoRa LPWAN. All IoT-X customers can utilize these different connectivity options, which are already integrated, to provide a comprehensive wireless IoT network from the sensor to the application. IoT-X and Stream Technologies' unique IoT-Xlerate™ ecosystem help global enterprises and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) reduce time to market by enabling quick, easy deployment of products and solutions which have been pre-tested and proven on the Stream network.

Existing IoT networks will now be able to add LoRa LPWAN devices to complement their existing cellular IoT deployments using the Link Labs Symphony Link or Symphony Net Gateway (News - Alert) and the LL-RLP-20 and LL-RXR-27 end point module products, which are all FCC, IC certified and ETSI compliant. These products make a seamless addition of LoRa LPWA capability to any legacy IoT network.

Link Labs' LoRa products provide secure, bidirectional, end-to-end connectivity and extend the operating life of connected devices, saving customers significant time and money when deploying IoT applications. The LoRa technology solves the traditional design compromise between range, interference immunity, and energy consumption. Link Labs has customers around the world and powers a range of IoT applications across industries and market verticals incluing agriculture, automotive, healthcare, government, and retail, helping farmers to manage crops, cities to operate municipal services, retailers to track their goods, and much more.

"Link Labs are a perfect partner for deploying LoRa carrier grade LPWA networks. Not only do they support the LoRaWAN open ecosystem and like Stream are active members of the LoRa Alliance, they also have Symphony Link which offers a different feature set for private networks. It is all about getting IoT applications deployed and generating value. In this complex 'market of markets', partnerships that make deployment simple and deliver on the business model are the very key to success" said Tracy Hopkins, Senior Vice President of Low Power Networks for Stream Technologies.

"We are very excited to be working with Stream's IoT-X™ platform to bridge the gap between Link Labs' LoRa Symphony Link networks and other IoT and M2M technologies. Having simple, ease of management across multiple networks is a huge benefit for our customers. They deploy different technologies for different applications but want a single platform to manage them and Stream can deliver that." said Bryan M. Eagle III, VP of Business development and Marketing.
