Cradlepoint Connects St. David's Dental Program Vehicles to Serve 11,000+ School Children Each Year

Cradlepoint, the global leader in 4G LTE networking solutions for distributed enterprises, announced today that the St. David's Foundation Mobile Dental Program has selected Cradlepoint to support in-vehicle connectivity for nine mobile dental clinics. Cradlepoint empowers this non-profit organization to more easily deploy a cloud-delivered 4G LTE (News - Alert) in-vehicle network that provides high-availability for critical connectivity during remote dental care treatment and visits. As a result, the mobile clinics spend less time worrying about network connectivity and can remain focused on providing excellent patient care to the community.

During one school year, the St. David's Foundation Mobile Dental Program serves 65 Title 1 elementary schools and provides free dental screenings to over 28,000 children with over 11,000 children receiving free preventative and restorative dental treatment. Once 4G LTE services became available in Austin, Texas, St. David's Foundation looked to upgrade its legacy 3G solutions and network to gain the bandwidth needed to consistently connect mobile databases to corporate headquarters, better monitor data usage, and secure patient information.

"Cradlepoint has helped us achieve a more reliable and capable 4G LTE network, and we have been very pleased with the services we're able to offer our community since our upgrade," said Todd Waldon, IT director for St. David's Foundation. "Cradlepoint made our network transiion simple and enabled our mobile dental clinics to increase efficiency and community reach while ensuring students receive the best possible quality of care."

The St. David's Foundation implemented the Cradlepoint COR IBR600 series platform to provide each of its mobile clinics with stable, high-bandwidth network connections. Cradlepoint's Enterprise Cloud Manager enables St. David's Foundation IT staff to remotely manage, configure and monitor data and devices from a centralized location, significantly simplifying operations and optimizing time spent managing the network.

"Many businesses rely on consistent connectivity to meet customer needs and achieve business goals. High-availability is especially crucial for in-vehicle networks, like St. David's Foundation Dental Program, where every customer or patient's quality of service relies on always-on mobile support," said Ian Pennell, CMO at Cradlepoint. "Cradlepoint provides this level of support with platforms that feature the industry's most proven 4G LTE technology and are cloud-delivered to streamline management capabilities. As a result, businesses are able to quickly and easily connect their offices, mobile fleets, and devices and better serve their customers and communities."
