PacketLogic 15000 selected by tier 1 APAC operator for peering deployment

FREMONT, Calif., May 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Procera Networks, Inc., a leader in network and subscriber intelligence, today announced its PacketLogic 15000 network intelligence platform has been chosen by a tier 1 APAC operator to manage over 500Gbps of Internet Peering bandwidth and help reduce peering costs while improving the overall quality of experience for subscribers. The operator selected the PL15000 after an evaluation against Procera's competitors, opting for the PL15000 due to it's scalability, sophisticated traffic management, and reporting capabilities.

About Procera Networks, Inc.: Procera Networks, Inc., the global Subscriber Experience company, is revolutionizing the way operators and vendors monitor, manage and monetize their network traffic. The APAC operator runs both fixed andmobile networks, and its bandwidth usage is growing by more than 50% a year. Procera's technology helps to not only understand the content flowing across each peering link, but also enable smart capacity planning and management for individual peering links to better manage costs.

"Procera continues to receive market validation and be selected as the vendor of choice by tier 1 operators around the globe," said Lyn Cantor, President and CEO of Procera Networks. "Customers are rewarding Procera for its continued innovation and technical excellence. This has never been more true than with the PL15000, which delivers operational simplicity in tandem with support for extremely high capacity deployments."

Procera's fine-grained application signatures, which are updated weekly, ensure accurate intelligence is presented to the operator. This approach makes it possible for the latest application trends to be tracked to measure the impact on the operator's network. Procera's Engineering Insights and ScoreCard can also identify new peering partners or CDNs that would improve QoE for their subscribers through detailed peering analytics.

The PacketLogic 15000, the latest version of Procera's established PacketLogic network intelligence platform, was made available worldwide in April 2016. It delivers up to 600Gbps performance in a compact 4RU form factor for broadband operators, dramatically simplifying network operations and configuration for high bandwidth deployments. The PL15000 is also a bridge for operators that are looking to deploy NFV, but are not operationally ready to deliver on the orchestration required to scale up to the levels of bandwidth and session volumes supported by the PL15000.
