NCP engineering's Industrial IoT Security Software Recognized by Frost & Sullivan

NCP engineering today announced that global research and consulting organization, Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert), featured its virtual private network (VPN) and secure endpoint solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in their "Securing Enterprise-Level IoT" white paper. NCP's VPN solutions and IIoT applications reinforce security for enterprises and SMBs, and provide encrypted communications on systems and machinery including connected cars, ATMs, and digital signage.

According to Frost & Sullivan, "In order to prevent compromised devices or a disruption in the IIoT, it is essential that enhanced security is 'baked in' to the infrastructure at the planning stages of implementation. The most effective way to prevent a man-in-the-middle attack, for example, is by implementing an encrypted network as the primary mode of communication between virtual connections in an IIoT infrastructure."

The NCP IIoT Remote Gateway (News - Alert) ensures secure communications between plants, machinery and systems while the NCP Central IIoT Gateway encrypts data from the IIoT Remote Gateway for secure upstream processing. NCP's Management provides full administration and monitoring of existing infrastructures, and features a multi-client capability which links several production sites or divisions via a common platform.

"One key differentiator from NCP is its central management system, which provides visibility across all IIoT components," said Jason Reed, Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. "This holistic management solution is available for both production IT and the traditional enterprise IT. NCP enhances the user experience by prviding secure communications as well as system integrations that can link existing IIoT infrastructure into one centralized command center."

"We are proud to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for our secure IoT and IIoT solutions," said Patrick Oliver Graf, CEO of NCP engineering. "NCP's Management System is unique in the IT market as it consolidates classic remote access and the IIoT security world. Ensuring maximum security in the networking of all integrated IIoT and remote access VPN components, NCP's Management secures communications between important enterprise IT areas such as company IT, production IT, and product IT."
