Google's Serge Lachapelle to Provide Keynote at WebRTC Conference & Expo

Industry leader to share key knowledge at browser-to-browser event

Norwalk, Conn—April 28, 2014—TMC, Systemwide Media and PKE Consulting announced today that Google’s Serge Lachapelle will be providing a keynote at WebRTC Conference & Expo IV, held June 17-19, 2014, at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia. The browser-to-browser event offers attendees the chance to learn about the latest Web-based Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) platforms, applications, implementation strategies and new technologies from a variety of experts in the industry. Lachapelle will deliver his keynote session on Wednesday, June 18 at 8:30 am.

Serge Lachapelle, WebRTC product manager for Google Chrome, is a computer engineer from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. He co-founded Sweden-based Marratech, a multi-user, real-time communications software company, and when Google acquired the software assets in 2007, Lachapelle participated in the launch of Gmail Video Chat and started the Google+ Hangouts project. In 2010, he led the acquisition of Global IP Solutions (GIPS). This laid the foundation for his current position at Google Chrome, a popular web browser for desktop and mobile.

“Google is a household name and one that is widely associated with some of the best technology and services in the marketplace,” said Event Producer Phil Edholm of PKE Consulting. “As the company breaks new ground in the WebRTC space, we look forward to hearing Serge’s perspective on the latest trends and best practices at WebRTC Conference & Expo IV.”

Google is also a Diamond Sponsor for WebRTC Conference & Expo IV. Additional Sponsors include additional Diamond Sponsors Acision, Avaya, Temasys, Twilio and TokBox; Platinum Sponsors Dialogic, BrowseTel, GENBAND, Priologic, Vidyo, Requestec and Sansay; Gold Sponsors AudioCodes, Bistri, Content Boost, Daitan Group, Eyeball Networks, Frozen Mountain, Huawei, Imagination, Ingate, OnSIP and Weemo; and Silver Sponsors Apex, Digium, Mera, OpenClove, TollFreeClicks and TollFreeAwards.
