BCS Global Indicates a Good Year for Video Collaboration

2012 was a good year for BCS Global Networks Ltd., and it expects 2013 to be even better. With multiple recognitions and awards under its belt, it sees these years as a turning point that will take video collaboration to the mainstream.

Video communication has been slowly but steadily been moving out of the boardroom and into more common businesses every day. It has become a cost-effective way of improving communication and productivity throughout entire organizations, proving vital to business processes.

Of course, BCS Global has been enjoying the growth that video collaboration has been seeing. In 2012, it won Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices “European Visual Collaboration Service Provider of the Year” Award, and was recognized by The New Europe magazine as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in the world, as well as Best Telepresence/Video Conferencing Provider 2012.

So what will come of video collaboration and BCS Global in 2013? At the moment, the company is optimistic, and for good reason. It’s coming off a great year, and the video collaboration market is booming. It’s a good time to be in the business.

"We have recently launched a new service, Virtual Presence B2B, one of the first Open Visual Communications Consortium (OVCC) compliant multi-network managed video services,” said Clive Sawkins, CEO at BCS Global. “Virtual Presence B2B is designed to break down existing barriers to the wider adoption of video collaboration between businesses of all sizes, even if located in various companies and served by different service providers. OVCC members have been working together over the past year to achieve this through interoperability agreements that create a blueprint for delivery of high-quality video collaboration – that connects any vendor, any network and any device, anywhere."

This bodes well for the video collaboration industry as a whole, as well as for BCS Global. Demand has been up, and will continue to rise with the advent of WebRTC. We can look forward to video that’s more ubiquitous, easier to use, and affordable to more people than ever.
