Wmode Launches Enterprise Platform 2.1 for BlackBerry 10

Wmode has launched the latest version of its Velocity Enterprise Platform 2.1 for BlackBerry 10. The company will be showcasing its revamped offering at the upcoming BlackBerry Experience Forums.

“We're thrilled to join BlackBerry on their North American tour, they have always had a strong foot-hold in the enterprise market and that is where our value proposition shines the strongest, Companies are seeing the value of unlocking their enterprise applications and are redefining how their employees work. We're pleased to provide the tools to make that easier” said Trevor Nimegeers, senior vice president of Enterprise Mobility Solutions at Wmode, in a statement.

“Wmode is seeing many opportunities in the enterprise market and is pleased to showcase our new investments in Velocity,” added Wmode CEO Emanuel Bertolin.

Velocity allows developers to quickly create iOS, Android and BlackBerry apps easily. Version 2.1 comes with a set of five app templates that enterprise customers can use to build their own apps. These include corporate directories, workflow approvals, time entry, intranet portals and work orders.

The BlackBerry Experience Forums will be held in cities across the world from February until April. Wmode will be present at the events held in the U.S: Washington D.C., San Francisco, Chicago and New York. The theme of the forums is "Keeping Your Business Moving."

Claron Technology also showcased its medical imaging app, Nil, when the events were held in Toronto and Vancouver earlier in February.

“As an early and groundbreaking mobile platform with a high level of security, BlackBerry has always had a strong following in business and healthcare enterprises," Claudio Gatti, co-founder and co-CEO of Claron, said. "We believe this will only grow with the new BlackBerry 10 platform and all its security and multimedia features. Claron is pleased to be among the firms invited to participate in the premiere enterprise events for BlackBerry 10 and to showcase our new BlackBerry app to business, IT and healthcare leaders. Use of Nil has been growing rapidly in general and we anticipate similar strong response for our new mobile technology in particular."
