WebFL.US Launches WebRTC Platform for Small, Medium-Sized Businesses

Miami-based Web developer Bruce Arnold of WebFl.US recently announced the launch of its WebRTC platform, which allows small-to-medium sized businesses to provide browser-to-browser video, voice and data communications to its customers without program downloads, software plugins or mobile apps.

“All WebRTC technologies are open source, browser-based and cross-platform (i.e. desktop and mobile). This eliminates the need for native mobile apps and the associated potentials for vendor lock-in,” according to the company.

Targeted SME business applications include Web site-based voice and video, webinars, online education and training, B2B and B2C sales presentation, product demonstration, expert consultation, and customer support web pages with live video windows, and secure overlay networks. A live demo of the platform can be found on the company’s Web site and free consultations are available by calling 786-326-8079.

A Texas-based professional maid service was among the first businesses to utilize the company’s platform. "Going the mobile-friendly responsive web design route with WebFL.US has saved me a lot of money," operator Gabriela Shirley explained in a statement. "I don't have to pay for a website plus an iPhone app plus an Android app plus a Blackberry app plus a Windows phone app and so on and so on. No matter what people use to surf the Web, my marketing messages will be delivered and my eCommerce transactions will be completed."

The company stated that WebRTC “heralds the culmination of the convergence of computing and communications. It is destined to be the most disruptive and democratizing technology to come along since the World Wide Web itself.”
