Voz.io Closes $150,000 in Seed Funding from Kima Ventures, Bringing WebRTC to Call Centers

The growth of WebRTC can be highlighted in many ways, such as the number of WebRTC-based products, companies and browsers being announced. Another means is looking at funding for these companies – Flashnotes recently secured $3.6 million in Series A funding, while Solaborate received $1 million in seed funding last year. The latest to enter the group of WebRTC-funded companies is Voz.io, a provider of browser-based call center software.

Voz.io recently closed a $150,000 funding round from Kima Ventures. The company uses WebRTC to provide SMEs with a scalable, browser-based call center and CRM solution to help identify customer pain points, track performance and reduce costs on communications solutions.

The benefit of using WebRTC for call centers is everything is in the browser, making it easy for both agents and customers to communicate and use. Browser-based solutions means there is no need to download any software or plugins, and data is kept secure – Voz.io includes SSL encryption and stores data in an EU safe harbor-compliant data center, which uses biometric locks and 24-hour surveillance as added measures of security.

Companies can provide phone support in more than 40 countries right from their browser with Voz.io. The platform also features intelligent call routing, CRM integration, inbound and outbound call recording, call monitoring, analytics, KPIs, real-time reporting and audio and video support.

Pricing begins at $39 per month, and each additional agent is $19 per month or phone number is $5 per month.

Kima Ventures invests in one to two startups each week. Its recent seed-level program, Kima15, helps startups raise $150,000 in 15 days. Previous seed funding includes Nextuser, BetterDoctor, RewardsPay, Card.Biz, DocRun, Paper.li, ShareDesk and Chart.io.
