BlueJeans Rolls Out WebRTC Product Upgrade

BlueJeans Network, Inc. announced this week that it has made several product enhancements in order to improve its real-time meeting experiences. Companies turn to BlueJeans when they’re looking for a meeting solution that’s easy to use, but also provides enterprise-grade functionality. It’s the best of both worlds, and with these new meeting room upgrades, BlueJeans hopes to pull in even more customers.

The company strives to bring great interactivity to meetings, events, conference rooms and social networks. With the new product upgrades, customers should be able to replace legacy conferencing and webinar tools with a better meeting experience. One of the major upgrades taking place is the general meeting room upgrade, which will improve the real time experience by “expanding hardware support within the BlueJeans Huddle ecosystem, featuring technology providers Dell, Jabra, Logitech and Dolby. In addition, by integrating with IoT device company, Kaptivo, BlueJeans will bring its customers the ability to transition an analog whiteboard into a smart whiteboard, allowing users to share live whiteboard sketches with BlueJeans meeting participants,” according to the announcement.

Although this upgrade is certainly worth waiting for, BlueJeans has also come out with a Web Real Time Communications (WebRTC) upgrade, which is available now. BlueJeans is no stranger to the power of real time connectivity, since its entire premise is based on helping people communicate in real time. However, by improving the application of WebRTC in its solution, it will be adding support that should make using the system much easier. For instance, with this new upgrade, support for WebRTC has been expanded to include a download free join experience in Firefox and Opera. Essentially, this means that anyone, anywhere can now easily connect to a meeting room without having to worry about downloads or connection problems.

Other upgrades currently available from BlueJeans are remote desktop control, event registration for large scale events, and SIP trunking. Currently, one in three Fortune 500 companies are BlueJeans customers and, with these new product upgrades, the company hopes to increase that number even more.
