The respondents, from all major regions, across all service provider categories (ILECs, CLECs, Municipalities, Utilities, Wireless Operators, Over-builders, etc.) were either the primary decision maker or have strong influence in the planning and deployment of Gigabit Broadband services. Participants provided input on a range of areas including timing of deployments for residential, business and Institutions; key drivers; key challenges; Gigabit Broadband technology selection; service oferings (current & future); pre-registration requirements; Gigabit Broadband availability (2014-2018); anticipated Gigabit Broadband take rates (5 year period); and perceived importance of offering Gigabit Broadband.
