iconectiv to Present on 'Examining the Array of Connectivity Enablers for IoT' at Internet of Things World 2016 for ATIS

Representatives from iconectiv, a leader in telecommunications innovation and policy, will be participating in two separate panels to discuss the future of M2M/IoT interoperability, security and performance at Internet of Things World 2016 next Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

Who:
Matt Lear, M2M & IoT product management director, iconectiv representative for ATIS, will participate in a panel session titled, "Examining the Array of Connectivity Enablers for IoT."  He will discuss interoperability, security and performance for IoT connectivity.  Lear will be joined by Paula Hunter, executive director of the NFC Forum, a non-profit industry association supporting the near-field communications (NFC) ecosystem.

Lear will be speaking on behalf of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), which brings together the top global ICT companies to advance the industry's leading priorities.  ATIS is a founding partner of oneM2M, the global standards initiative for M2M communications and the Internet of Things. oneM2M has named ATIS as the initial Registry Management Authority for the oneM2M Application Identifier (App-ID) registry powered by iconectiv.  The Registry enables delivery of globally unique software application identifiers, based upon oneM2M specifications, and provides application identifier management to support developers and enterprises within industry verticals.

Shelby Kiewel, director, product development for iconectiv, will participate in a panel session titled, "Creating a Sustainable Framework for IoT."  Kiewel will be participating in his role as Working Group chairperson for oneM2M, a global organization creating a scalable and interoperable standard for communications of devices and services used in M2M applications and the Internet of Things.  Kiewel will join representatives from IPSO Alliances, Helium, Nest Labs, UL and the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF).
