In order to further accelerate the adoption and abilities of WebRTC, Microsoft Open Technologies, Inc. has released a prototype implementation of the CU-RTC-Web Proposal. Voxeo Labs is joining the effort to improve real-time communications between Web browsers by offering a support system for the WebRTC project currently under way at The Phono Project, a product of Voxeo Labs.
Cisco Jabber users can jibber-jabber all the more now, with software designed to extend the Jabber experience to virtual desktops on Cisco and third-party thin clients. The Virtualization Experience Media Engine (VXME) will be made available for Cisco thin clients soon, followed by support for third-party devices.
