WebRTC Conference & Expo Welcomes XirSys as Platinum Sponsor

XirSys recently joined the upcoming Web-based real-time communications (WebRTC) Conference & Expo sponsor lineup, according to an announcement made earlier this week by TMC, Systemwide Media and PKE Consulting. The technology solutions provider hosts a server infrastructure for WebRTC services and applications, which, according to the company’s site, include TURN streaming for NAT complex traversal, a STUN/TURN-based signaling service, a JavaScript framework, hands-on expert support and its global server network.

WebRTC requires server-side functionality covering four items, all of which XirSys’ platform covers: User discovery and communication, signaling, NAT/firewall traversal and relay servers in case peer-to-peer communication fails. Its API simplifies the processes required for establishing and managing WebRTC sessions and security.

The WebRTC Conference & Expo will take place in Santa Clara, Calif., from Nov. 19 - 21. The event is the hotspot for enterprises, service providers, Web providers, investors and developers, and allows attendees to experience the effects WebRTC has on communication by way of browser-to-browser connections.

XirSys CEO Richard Blakely expressed his excitement for users to be introduced to the technology’s accessibility and affordability. “Having run the leading Flash RTC company for 11 years, I feel we have a broad understanding of the expectations for WebRTC. I believe we are in a prime position to open up this technology for the masses, making it more accessible and affordable, and our very simple bandwidth-based pricing structure makes it easy to know exactly what you're paying for.”

The company currently thrives on more than 10 years’ experience in RTC hosting and will employ its tools and expertise gained to make for the successfulness of its WebRTC efforts. TMC CEO and chairman, Rich Tehrani, echoed this sentiment, enthusiastic for what he anticipates XirSys will bring to the conference. “As a leading developer of WebRTC platforms, XirSys has played a significant role in the continued growth of WebRTC technology. We are excited to have them join WebRTC Conference & Expo and look forward to the knowledgeable skills and insight they will lend our attendees.”

XirSys will likely bring along the impact it did for a similar conference that took place earlier in the year. Then, PKE Consulting event producer, Phil Edholm, said, "The WebRTC sector is moving quickly and these sponsors have demonstrated success in moving the needle. The show, and WebRTC space, will greatly benefit from having these organizations involved."

Big-name supporters of the WebRTC Conference & Expo also include Google, Mozilla, and HP, among dozens of others.
