Net Medical Xpress to Showcase WebRTC and Telemedicine Technologies

Net Medical Xpress is a company that provides solutions to the medical community. Net Medical Xpress Solutions provides Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACSs) hardware and software to hospitals and other medical facilities.

It provides FDA 510k cleared PACSs, which can either be installed at a medical facility or can be integrated as a Web service. Data integrity, Protected Health Information (PHI) security and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) compliance are always maintained.

The official definition of a FDA 510(k) is that it is a premarket submission made to the Food and Drug Administration. It is supposed to demonstrate that the device to be marketed is a least as safe and effective, that is to say, substantially equivalent, to a legally marketed device that is not subject to premarket approval.

Net Medical Xpress Solutions announced it will be showcasing its latest Web-based telemedicine technology. In addition to the newest software, Net Medical is also launching a new program designed to eliminate the need to purchase expensive audio/visual equipment. It will begin to offer equipment to hospitals at no cost.

Dick Govatski, Net Medical’s CEO commented, "In May, we are introducing the latest software and hardware technology from our technology infrastructure group. The team will demonstrate our WebRTC (Web Real Time Communications) software for Google, Chrome and Firefox browsers eliminating the need for plug-ins, downloads and other proprietary installs so that video and audio communications can be connected as easily as opening up a browser.”

Govatski went on to say, "In addition, we'll show how our Safety Pilot security platform connected to Panasonic high definition video cameras can be accessed by physicians but tightly restricted to those professionals with credentialing privileges at hospitals using the Net Medical Specialists service. Our smartphone and tablet technology will feature demonstrations of our FDA 510k cleared PACS system communicating with hospital electronic health record systems using HL7 interfaces. This will provide doctors with improved patient medical information via telemedicine."

Net Medical also provides counseling security services for wireless networks. It provides this service using its Medical Xpress vLAN products.
