Here Come The WebRTC Buttons

They say that WebRTC brings real-time communications to the Web. It enables adding VoIP to websites. There are many different ways vendors are utilizing WebRTC, but it seems that lately, everyone is into buttons.

Have an existing website? Want to add some voice or video interaction in it with your customers, partners, friends or whoever? Why, we have a button for you! Just embed its code in your website and you are good to go.

Here is a sampling on what buttons we have these days:

  • Zingaya is the obvious example. Its whole gig revolves around a button embedded in a website
  • Sitofono by Abbeynet offers call buttons to websites
  • Teledini is again a click-to-call solution for websites
  • Twelephone recently added its own variant – a CallMe button. It is slightly different than the previous solutions here as it is not the main service but rather a feature and enabler of Twelephone
  • Bistri, another social communication service, also added its own call button – the Bistri Button

There are many ways to embed WebRTC into websites, and buttons is just one of these ways. The interesting thing is that these solutions are different – not all buttons are created equal.
