SureVoIP Takes Up Drum Web Meeting Solution

Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) is completely changing the way we communicate through Web browsers. NetDev, a provider of communications applications for global carriers, operators and communications service providers, offers the Drum Web meeting solution, which is now ready to hit the market. SureVoIP, a U.K.-based Internet telephony provider for enterprises and SMEs, will be the first one to try out the new solution with integrated audio conferencing.

Launched in October 2012 as a value-added service, Drum audio conferencing is designed to help service providers address both enterprises and small businesses, and will be hosted from SureVoIP’s network. With it, SureVoIP will have a new range of services for its customers, without losing the control it needs to give them the best call quality possible.

Drum will help SureVoIP meet the needs of the ever-growing market for audio and Web conferencing, which is expected to grow to over $2 billion in the coming years. Drum’s Web meeting application can be delivered to SureVoIP’s customers, as well as the audio conferencing service, serving as a central repository for every meeting a user has attended. With Drum, users can also create meetings, present and share documents, assign tasks and take notes.

As an HTML5 application, users can access Drum without software downloads or plugins. Furthermore, its WebRTC conference calling capability lets users join in directly from the Web without needing an access number, PIN, installation or any other frustrating, time consuming necessities that plague other conferences.

“Audio conferencing is a very natural addition to our services, which means an even fuller range of options for our customers,” says Gavin Henry, SureVoIP’s managing director, in a statement. “With Drum we can extend audio conferencing to a complete Web meeting and collaboration solution and WebRTC enabled conference calls can really add value to enterprise meetings and collaboration. By hosting Drum audio conferencing we maintain ownership of the voice quality and the billing relationship, so we know we can continue to deliver the quality of service that our customers expect from us.”

Drum is a gold sponsor for WebRTC World Conference and Expo, an opportunity for companies, Web application providers, investors and developers to understand the exciting opportunity that WebRTC opens and how it will challenge and change much of today's communications landscape. WebRTC Conference and Expo will be held next in New York City in May 2013.

Drum has all the makings of a great Web meeting solution, so SureVoIP made a good choice. The WebRTC capabilities will make accessing meetings easier than ever for its customers, who are sure to enjoy the range of tools it provides. Easy access from a browser or mobile device will make for quick and effective meetings for businesses of all sizes, so things are looking good for NetDev and SureVoIP.
