BrowseTel Readies for WebRTC IV Conference & Expo

This week is a big one for those who follow the Web-based real time communications (WebRTC) industry, as the WebRTC IV Conference & Expo makes its way to the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Ga. Set to run June 17 to June 19, the show will feature a host of names within the field, and plenty of exhibitions of new products and services that will likely hit the market in the near term.

One of the biggest such names is BrowseTel, a Platinum Sponsor of the event, and BrowseTel has some new developments ready that should pose some major new possibilities ahead for the industry.

Gregor Zebic, BrowseTel's chief marketing officer offered up some commentary on just what was at stake for the wider WebRTC industry saying, “Imagine a communication window that is connected to the public voice networks and covered with all channels of communication inside a single browser window--this is quite revolutionary, and it's a game changer in the 21st century communication concept.” Indeed, BrowseTel has this ready for action, and beyond, as it has several valuable points ready to go into the field. The BrowseTel WebPhone is a phone that works through an Internet-connected Web browser. Operating like a normal phone, it allows users to call in and call out via the Web browser in question. From there, BrowseTel can also offer such things as click-to-call buttons, allowing users to easily connect with a business directly from a website, interactive voice services to allow some incoming calls to be handled via automation, and even QR codes, which can have a huge impact in marketing efforts.

Meanwhile, at WebRTC IV Conference & Expo, BrowseTel will be part of the Enterprise Track, offering up a presentation on June 19 titled, “New Conferencing Options.” BrowseTel's Zebic will be joined by Bistri co-founder and CEO Arnaud Budkiewicz, Dialogic senior director of business development John Gaffney, OnSIP lead developer Will Mitchell, and KelCor principal analyst Brent Kelly serving as moderator. The session will focus on how WebRTC and conferencing tools interact, with a particular focus on legacy systems, scaling and the like to provide a whole new means of keeping in touch. BrowseTel will also be at booth 222 at the event, so those who want a better look at BrowseTel's product line should find it and stop by.

BrowseTel's impact on conferencing has serious bottom line ramifications for companies looking to save money on business travel, keep in touch with suppliers and customers, and even establish mobile workforce operations to allow employees to keep in touch while still working remotely. That's a practice that's often been found to improve morale and make for better productivity—not to mention allowing access to the best talent regardless of location--so having a handle on how to keep everyone on the same page even when not in the same room is a must for companies looking to get the fullest benefit out of a mobile workforce.
