Dialogic's Mobile Video Solutions, Media Gateway Technology Recognized for Innovation and Business Value

As connectivity grows to become a vital part of our everyday lives, demands are also increasing. High-performance networks and applications need seamless integration with other platforms, networks and services; contact centers need to integrate multichannel media-rich communications; service providers need to offer more value-added services that are secure and cost-effective; and app developers need platforms that are easy to use and enable rapid development.

Dialogic, a provider of communications technologies, provides solutions that meet these demands. It provides a wide range of products, including solutions for rich media mixing and intelligent call control, and it enables application developers to harness the power of WebRTC in multiparty multimedia environments.

The company recently received two 2013 Editor’s Choice Awards from China’s CTI Forum for the third consecutive year, which recognized the company’s PowerMedia XMS Media Server Software, BorderNet 2020 product with integrated media gateway and SBC functionality and BorderNet Virtualized Session Border Controller.

The company received awards in the Product Innovation and Value Added Business Solutions categories. PowerMedia XMS offers support for IETF and W3C WebRTC codecs and technologies to provide real-time video and audio mixing, security, signaling and NAT/firewall traversal with WebRTC-enabled HTML5 browsers. More than 30 firms were developing WebRTC applications with PowerMedia XMS in November 2013, leveraging audio and video conferencing, native software transcoding and rich media mixing.

The BorderNet Virtualized SBC is a carrier-class, virtualized session border controller with native, software-based transcoding. The BorderNet 2020 SBC transforms media and signaling to support efficient and reliable voice, fax and multimedia sessions for mobile and cloud-based applications. It combines SBC functionality with IP and TDM gateway capabilities in a 1U form factor appliance, which reduces capital and operating expenses.

“As voice and video markets become increasingly sophisticated, solution and service providers can look to Dialogic’s multimedia processing and deployment options to provide efficiency and innovation,” said Eamonn Kearns, vice president of sales, Asia Pacific at Dialogic, in a statement.
