IVCi's Cloud-based Video Conferencing Solution Connects to Any Personal Device

Imagine you and your coworkers are able to conduct a video conference with some very important clients without having to make sure each participant has the right device, Web browser or software plugins. Well, Hauppauge, N.Y.-based IVCi, LLC is among today’s collaboration services providers offering an end-to-end cloud-based infrastructure to do just that.

The company this week launched Cloud Video Experience (CVE), which allows organizations to implement video conferencing for both room-based systems and personal devices, including laptops and tablets. The virtual meeting room connects multiple participants and allows them to connect to all standards-based video conferencing systems, as well as interoperate with Microsoft Lync and WebRTC.

“Video conferencing continues to grow as a viable business communications tool. But the requirements for infrastructure and the challenges around scalability and mobility have impeded true wide-scale deployment,” Bob Swing, CEO of IVCi, said in a statement. “Our new Cloud Video Experience addresses all of those challenges in a simple and elegant approach. The service will enable our customers to easily and rapidly deploy video across their entire company.”

CVE is powered by Videxio, which routes each call to its closest data center and then forwards it across the world through a private, video engineered network. This, according to the company, “removes potential points of failure” and “increases both the quality and experience” of the call for all participants.

Videxio, which is based in Oslo, Norway, announced last week that its global video network has expanded to more than 5,800 cities and 120 countries around the world. “Videxio’s cloud video service and value proposition is all about the user experience,” CEO Tom-Erik Lia, said in the statement.
